STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — D'Youville played Staten Island to a 0-0 tie Saturday. D'Youville generated an 18-8 shot advantage, including an 8-1 edge in shots on goal, but neither side finished.
D'Youville generated repeated attacking stretches without finding the net, beginning with five early attacking actions that included three shots and two corner kicks. Later in the half, D'Youville put together a 13-minute span with six shots, including a five-shot burst within that sequence. Omar Daoudi (South Burlington, VT / South Burlington) hit the right woodwork in the 73rd minute, and D'Youville also put three late shots on frame but could not break through. The sides finished the half scoreless, and the match ended 0-0.
