Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – In the team's first ever game, the D'Youville University flag football team fell to SUNY Geneseo Wednesday evening by a score of 40-6.
The Knights got the scoring going first but a response from
Paige Robinson helped tie the game up at 6-6 late into the second quarter. Geneseo added another touchdown before the break and would maintain the lead throughout the remainder of the game.
Robinson went for 138 yards passing, completing 56 percent of her passes. Robinson was also the leader on the ground, going for 85 yard while averaging 2.9 yards per carry.
Annika Lopez was also efficient on the ground, averaging 6.7 yards per carry on three attempts.
Alexis Brua was a threat catching the ball, making six grabs for 67 yards.
On the defensive side of the ball,
Samantha Germain led the way with five tackles with Brua and
Bella Cartonia each having four tackles. Germain also had two tackles for loss and a sack on the night. Brua was a ball hawk, grabbing on interception and breaking up another pass.
The Saints will be back in action on Thursday, March 19th, as they take on SUNY Brockport at 8 p.m.
