COLONIA, N.J. – The 2026 East Coast Conference (ECC) Preseason Poll has been released with the D'Youville Softball team ranking second out of six teams.
Annie Jorgenson (Victoria, B.C. / Belmont SS) was named ECC Preseason Player of the Year while
Summer Clark (
Williamsville, N.Y. / Williamsville East) was named ECC Preseason Co-Pitcher of the Year.
The Saints made a historic run in the 2025 season capturing the program's first ECC Championship title. D'Youville held a 23-20 overall record and a 9-11 record in conference play under the lead of
Shelly Hoerner in her first season.
The team returns 12 familiar faces including Jorgenson and Clark while also welcoming in three new players to the team in transfers
Frankie Morris (Lancaster, N.Y. / Lancaster), Mikayla Hussar (West Seneca, N.Y. / West Seneca West), and
Hadley Donnelly (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa).
The Saints kick off their 2026 season on February 21st at the Glenville State Tournament in Glenville, West Virginia.
