MANHEIM, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 NCAA Women's Scholar All-American Awards.
D'Youville University was well represented on the list of qualified recipients, having five wrestlers earn the honor.
Mackenzie Laforest (Waverly, N.Y./Waverly),
Annika Lopez (San Antonio, Texas/San Antonio Johnson),
Ollie Ridling (San Antonio, Texas/Winston Churchill),
Saniyah Ward (The Colony, Texas/The Colony), and
Madison Wellen (East Berlin, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) all received Scholar All-American status.
To be considered for the award, the student-athlete had to meet one of the following academic and athletics criteria:
- A top-eight placer at nationals and at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Competed in a minimum of 15 matches that are recorded in TRACKWRESTLING and has at least a 3.5 Cumulative GPA
- Was a national qualifier and has at least a 3.25 Cumulative GPA
