CLARION, PA. – The D'Youville University baseball team took home an 11-6 road win over Clarion University on Tuesday.

The Saints loaded the bases in the top of the first when senior

Colby Wilson (Webster, N.Y.) singled, and junior
Jonathan Simpson (Grand Island, N.Y.) walked. Redshirt junior

Â
Freshman
Jakob Denall (Clarence, N.Y.) started on the mound for the Saints and struck out two batters en route to a one-two-three inning in the bottom of the first. After junior
Blaise Kolbert (Lancaster, N.Y.) and senior
Dillon Crook (Liverpool, N.Y.) drew walks with one out in the top of the second, sophomore

Â
In the top of the sixth, Simpson clobbered his third home run of the season to bring in DYU's eleventh run of the day and increase their lead to five. Penner struck out the first two batters in the bottom of the sixth and then gave way to senior
Mike Pasquarella (Hamburg, N.Y.). Pasquarella hit two batters to load the bases but struck out the next batter to get out of the inning unscathed. The Saints got scoreless innings from junior
Austin Delgado (Orlando, Fla.) in the seventh, Kolbert in the eighth, and redshirt sophomore
Connor Joedicke (Bloomville, N.Y.) in the ninth to seal the 11-6 victory.

Boucher also continues to swing a hot bat, as he has now hit safely in eleven of his last twelve games. Boucher, Wilson, Hollins, and Morris each drove in two runs today. With his two-run double in the fifth, Morris collected his 100
th career RBI.
