Box Score ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The D'Youville University Men's Volleyball team pulled off the impressive 3-2 reverse sweep win against the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks on Monday night.

Set One
Matchplay started close, but the Saints had the upper hand as a kill from Ian De Wilde (Lockport, N.Y. / Starpoint) gave D'Youville the 9-8 lead. The Redhawks tied the set up at nine with a kill and took the 10-9 lead on a service ace. From there, the Redhawks continued to climb, but the Saints managed to tie the game up at 19 following a kill from Randy Adorno (Bayamon, Puerto Rico / Winter Park). The Redhawks retook the lead and despite a final kill from Skyler Tutor (St. Cloud, FL / St. Cloud), the Redhawks would take set one 25-23.
Set Two
The Redhawks took control in set two after taking the first two points and continuing to climb as the Saints fought to catch up. A kill from Randy Adorno and a Redhawk error paved the way for the Saints to tie the game at 16. Jacob Malak (Wales, Wisc. / Kettle Moraine) delivered the next kill to give the Saints 17-16 lead. Roberts Wesleyan again fought back and managed to tie the set at 19. The Redhawks retook the lead and began to climb to 25. Despite kills from Jacob Malak and Spencer Boakye (Union, N.J. / Union) the Redhawks would take set two 25-22.

Set Three
Roberts Wesleyan quickly took control in set three jumping ahead 8-5. Ethan Robinson got the next point for the Saints with a kill and D'Youville capitalized on Redhawks errors to tie the game at nine. The game remained close as both the Saints and Redhawks continued to climb. The score tied once again at 18, but D'Youville retook the lead scoring three in-a-row featuring another kill from Robinson and two Redhawk errors. From there, the Saints stayed in control until they took set three 25-20 to keep the match going.

Set Four
Roberts Wesleyan held the slight advantage as the fourth set began leading 5-4. A kill from Ian De Wilde tied the game and the Saints tacked on three more to take the 8-5 lead. Roberts Wesleyan fought their way back to tie the game at nine. The score remained even, but the Saints got the advantage at 14-13 following a kill from Tymek Brzoza (Tychy, Poland). From there, D'Youville controlled the set and climbed leaving the Redhawks behind them. Spencer Boakye recorded the final kill for the Saints as they took set four 25-19.

Set Five
The Saints took control in set five jumping ahead 6-3 following a kill from Tymek Brzoza. The Redhawks managed to get two back, but the Saints put their foot back on the gas to extend their lead. The Saints reached match point at 14 following three Redhawk errors in a row to lead 14-9. Spencer Boakye recorded the final kill for the Saints to give them the reverse sweep and 15-9 set win against the Redhawks.

The Saints head back out on the road for a non-conference weekend on March 7th and 8th. D'Youville will face off with Merrimack College on March 7th at 7:00 PM followed by a game at American international College on March 8th at 4:00 PM.
