SPARKILL, N.Y. – The D'Youville University Men's Volleyball team fell 3-0 to the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans on Friday night on the road.

Set One
The Saints got off to a hot start jumping up 5-0 to start the first set. The Spartans answered with four quick points, but D'Youville held their lead climbing up 15-12 following a kill from
Randy Adorno (Bayamon, Puerto Rico / Winter Park). The Spartans answered quickly tying the game at 16 before jumping ahead 22-20.
Ethan Robinson (Toronto, Canada) recorded a kill to bring the Saints within one, but three points in-a-row from the Spartans would give them the 25-21 win in set one.
Set Two
It was the Spartans that took control in the second set as they took an early 15-11 lead. Kills from
Tymek Brzoza (Tychy, Poland),
Ian De Wilde (Lockport, N.Y. / Starpoint), and
Ethan Robinson helped the Saints stay in the game as the Saints reach 21 with the Spartans at 23. STAC recorded the final two points for the Spartans to win set two 25-21.
Set Three
The set started even between the Saints and Spartans as the score tied at three following a kill from
Skyler Tutor (St. Cloud, FL / St. Cloud). The Spartans took control scoring four in-a-row and held the lead until the led 10-6. The Saints fought back recording a four-point run featuring two kills from Brzoza to tie the game at 10. Gameplay continued back and forth with the score remaining close as another kill from Tutor brought the game to a tie at 19. The Spartans gained the advantage and held the lead recording the last two points of the game to win the third set 25-23 and the match 3-0.
