COLONIA, N.J. – The 2025-26 East Coast Conference (ECC) Preseason Poll has been released with the D'Youville Saints women's indoor track and field team ranking sixth out of eleven teams.
D'Youville enters the women's indoor season with a strong returning core and several athletes coming off notable ECC Championship performances last year. Distance leaders
Lily Schulz (4
th in ECC 5000m) and
Lilianna Peters headline a seasoned group that also includes middle-distance standout
Sienna Uebelhoer (7
th in ECC 1500m) and hurdler
Tayden Persons (5
th in ECC 400m hurdles). Junior
Jenna Capolupo, an All-Conference standout as a freshman, looks to return to the ECC All-Conference team as she leads the Saints in sprints and long jump. In the field, junior
Barbara Kunz returns after placing fourth in the javelin at last year's conference meet. Sophomores
Taylor Bond,
Felicity Cooper,
Grace O'Neill, Gabriella Tripi, and juniors
Sophia Vane and
Julia Sponable round out a well-balanced unit.
The Saints also welcome a large and promising class of newcomers, including sixteen freshmen making their collegiate debuts with D'Youville. These newcomers provide added depth to a roster looking to improve on their sixth-place finish in last year's ECC Championship.
The season opens on Friday, December 5
th as the Saints travel to Houghton, N.Y. for the Houghton December Classic.
