MALIBU, CALIF. – The D'Youville University Men's Volleyball team closed out their opening weekend on the west coast with a loss to a tough #4 Pepperdine University.

The D'Youville Men's Volleyball team met up with some tough competition on Sunday evening against the Pepperdine University Waves who are currently ranked fourth in the nation. This is the first time the Saints have faced the Waves in program history.
How it Happened
- The Saints found themselves tied in the first set at 3-3 following a kill from Sophomore Skyler Tutor (St. Cloud, FL / St. Cloud), but the Waves quickly hit their stride to pull ahead.
- Tymek Brzoza (Tychy, Poland / NLO Jastrzebski Wegiel) led the Saints with three kills spread between the first and third set.
- Pepperdine recorded a .691 team hitting percentage compared to D'Youville .019.
- Randy Adorno (Bayamon, Puerto Rico / Winter Park) recorded 10 assists for the Saints between the three sets along with five digs to lead the Saints.
