Women's Tennis Narrowly Defeated By East Stroudsburg

Box Score EAST STROUDSBURG, PA – The D'Youville University women's tennis team suffered a close loss for the second consecutive day, falling to East Stroudsburg University by a score of 4-2.
 
At first doubles, Mina Randjelovic (Paracin, Serbia) and Yuliia Kashtelian (Lviv, Ukraine) won for the second day in a row, defeating the Warriors pairing 6-2. Maria Campisi (Caracas, Venezuela) and Paola Ermina (San Sebastian, Spain) dropped a close match at second doubles by a score of 6-4 and Yelizaveta Prokopenko and Emiliia Soloviova (Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine) were defeated 6-0 at third doubles as East Stroudsburg claimed the doubles point.
 
Randjelovic and Kashtelian continued their successful weekends, as Randjelovic was victorious at first singles by a score of 6-2, 6-3 and Kashtelian won at second singles by a score of 6-3, 6-2. The two combined to go 6-0 on the weekend for DYU. At fourth singles, Ermina lost a close two-setter 6-2, 7-5. The Warriors clinched the match with a win at third singles, as Campisi fell in three sets by a score of 3-6, 7-6, 10-3.
 
D'Youville will be back in conference action next weekend, when they face St. Thomas Aquinas College on the road on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
