NIAGARA FALLS, NY – The D'Youville University baseball team opened their final homestand of the season with a doubleheader sweep over Lincoln University on Friday.

DYU got on top early, scoring four runs in their first turn at bat. A
Billy Morris (Lancaster, N.Y.) single that got past Lincoln's left fielder brought in the first two runs of the day.
Jeremy Glinski (Sloan, N.Y.) then ripped a double down the left field line that brought Morris home.
Alec Boucher (Essex, Ontario) stayed red hot, driving in Glinski with an RBI single to make it 4-0.

Starting pitcher
Chris Auclair (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) was a dominant force on the mound for the Saints, striking out five consecutive batters in the second and third innings.

DYU tacked on four more runs in the bottom of the second. Base hits from
Alex Dzimian (Lakeview, N.Y.) and
Jake Hollins (Orchard Park, N.Y.) set up an RBI single from Morris to make it 5-0. Glinski followed with a double down the left field line that brought home two more. Glinski then scored from second on a sacrifice fly from Boucher to extend the lead to 8-0.

Another sacrifice fly from Boucher in the third and an RBI single from Dzimian in the fourth widened the Saints' lead to 10-0.

Auclair continued to mow through the Lions' lineup, ending the day with eleven strikeouts in seven shutout innings while allowing just four hits.

In the bottom of the seventh, Glinski and Boucher each picked up their third hit of the game, which set up RBI singles from
Jon Simpson (Grand Island, N.Y.) and
Ethan Hammond (Oakville, Ontario).
Craig Oliver (Fredericton, New Brunswick) then drove in the third run of the frame to make it a 13-0 advantage for DYU.

The Saints tacked on two more in the eighth and
Rob Stephens (Seaford, N.Y.) and
Connor Bowman (Orchard Park, N.Y.) both tossed scoreless frames in relief of Auclair to secure the 15-0 victory.

Mihir Manerikar (Mississauga, Ontario) got the start on the mound for the Saints in game two and came out firing, striking out the side in the top of the first.

The Saints once again got on the board in their first turn at bat. A base hit from Hollins and a walk from Morris set the table for an RBI single from Boucher, who has now driven in a run in six straight games and has collected a hit in 14 of his last 16 games.

In the bottom of the second, Dzimian brought in the second run of the game for D'Youville with a base knock to left center.

Manerikar exited after five strong innings, allowing one run on three hits and three walks, and recorded six punchouts.

In the bottom of the sixth, after Boucher and Simpson led off the inning with two singles, Oliver brought in the Saints' third run of the game with an RBI groundout to make it 3-1. Boucher went 6-for-6 over the course of both games.

Samuel Worthen (Guelph, Ontario) shut the door on Lincoln with two scoreless innings to notch his ECC-leading 11
th save of the season.

The Saints improve to 24-17 on the year with a 13-5 record in conference play and are now 13-1 in games at Sal Maglie Stadium. They will be back in action on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. as they once again play host to Lincoln.
