Last Time Out
After finishing back-to-back NEC matchups last weekend at home, the Saints get set to host another NEC matchup against Daemen. After falling 3-1 to LIU on Friday night, the Men's team came back and defeated FDU 3-1 for their first conference win of the 2024 season.
Randy Adorno (Bayamon, Puerto Rico / Winter Park) was named an NEC Prime Performer for the second week in a row and for the third time this season following two strong showings this past weekend. Adorno recorded 34 assists against LIU and 48 assists against FDU.
Tymek Brzoza (Tychy, Poland, NLO Jastrzebski Wegiel) led the Saints offense with 12 kills and
Ian De Wilde (Lockport, N.Y. / Starpoint) and
Shaun Vattakuzhiyil (Sugar Land, TX / Elkins) followed close behind with 11 kills each.
What to Know About the Daemen University Wildcats
This will be the second time the Saints and Wildcats have faced off this season. The Wildcats came out on top in the first meeting between the teams winning 3-0 at Daemen's home court. The Saints lost 22-25, 26-28, and 16-25 in the match. Vattakuzhiyil and Adorno led the way in the Saints offense in the match while
Ethan Robinson (Toronto, Canada) led the Saints defense with three blocks.
The Wildcats are currently ranked first in the NEC Conference after starting the season 10-2 overall and 5-0 in the conference. The Wildcats are currently tied for 20th in the AVCA/NVA National Collegiate MVB Poll.
