BUFFALO, N.Y. - The D'Youville Men's Volleyball (5-1) gets set for their first NEC road matches this weekend. The Saints are set to face off against conference opponents Merrimack College and Sacred Heart University on Friday and Saturday.

Last Time Out
 The Saints were back to their winning ways after defeating St. Thomas Aquinas College in three sets last Saturday at home. Tymek Brzoza (Tychy, Poland / NLO Jastrzebski Wegiel) recorded ten kills and five blocks in the match while Haven Wankerl (Cross Plains, Wisc. / Middleton) recorded nine kills and one ace. Randy Adorno (Bayamon, Puerto Rico / Winter Park) earned 27 assists and two aces.
 
What to Know About the Merrimack College Warriors
 The Warriors are coached by Ray Lewis who is in his second season at the helm of the Men's Volleyball program. Merrimack is currently 2-6 so far in the 2024 season. Last year the Saints fell on the road 3-2 to the Warriors but defeated them 3-1 at home. Merrimack's leading performers are Logan Whitaker (72 kills), Reece Lindstrom (177 assists), Kyle Standage (68 digs), and Nick Tidik (14 blocks).
 
What to Know About the Sacred Heart University Pioneers
The Pioneers are 5-6 overall for the 2024 season under Head Coach, Adam Niemczynowicz. The Saints fell to the Pioneers twice last year losing 3-0 and 3-1. The Pioneers are scheduled to face off against Daemen University on Friday before playing the Saints on Saturday. Sacred Heart is led by Patrick Mucherino (140 kills, 51 digs), Teddy Payne (278 assists), and Dylan McClung (33.0 blocks, 16 aces).
