ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The D'Youville Women's Cross Country team placed eighth overall at the NCAA Division II East Regional on Saturday morning. Lainie Smith (Lancaster, N.Y. / Lancaster) and Henry Smith (Lockport, N.Y. / Cardinal O'Hara) both placed in the top ten.

Henry Smith was the top finisher for the Saints in the Men's 10k. Smith finished in tenth place with a time of 31:59.6. Brennen Yates (Hamler, OH / Patrick Henry) finished 95^th with a time of 35:12.3.

The Women's team finished eighth place overall in the 6k. Lainie Smith was the top finisher, placing sixth with a time of 22:08.05. With her finish, Lainie Smith broke the current school 6k record. Lydia Smith (Williamsport, Pa. / Williamsport) followed closely behind finishing in 17^th place with a time of 22:37.8. Freshman, Sienna Uebelhoer (Elma, N.Y. / Iroquois) finished in 41^st, Lily Schulz (Lockport, N.Y. / Lockport) finished in 61^st and Lexie Hillman (Alden, N.Y. / Alden) finished in 83^rd place to round out the top five for the Saints.
