WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – It was a strong showing at the 2024 ECC Cross Country Championship for the D'Youville University men's cross country team as one runner finished as a First Team All-Conference member.
Senior
Henry Smith (Lockport, N.Y./Cardinal O'Hara) placed third in the field of 68 with a time of 26:10.2, giving him First Team honors.
Brennen Yates (Hamler, Ohio/Patrick Henry) was the next Saint to cross the finish line, finishing with a time of 29:26.3 to place 34th. Close behind Yates was teammate
Jack Collins (Griswold, Conn./Griswold) who placed 38th with a time of 30:09.7.
As a team, D'Youville placed 6th out of the seven-competing team.
During the award ceremony, Smith was honored with the ECC Elite 20 Award which is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average.
The Saints will now switch their focus to the NCAA DII East Regional on November 9th in Rochester, N.Y.
