D'Youville University 94 vs Goldey-Beacom College 65
Goldey-Beacom was first to get on the board in the season opener, but the Saints were quick to find their offense as three pointers from both Jordan Turner and Elisha Warren (Woodhaven, Mich. / Woodhaven) gave the Saints their first lead of the season at 6-2. Both teams hit their stride on offense slowly climbing until the game was tied at 17 just eight minutes into the half.

Jordan Turner nailed a three to give the Saints the 20-17 lead and the D'Youville offense never looked back holding the lead for the rest of the game. Goldey-Beacom got within seven with just over two minutes left in the half, but a dunk from Justin Moore helped the Saints pull away as D'Youville headed into halftime leading 46-38.

DYU kept their momentum strong in the second half as Trayton Trice nailed a three to score the first basket of the half. The Saints didn't stop there as they scored nine points in-a-row to extend their lead to 55-38. There was no stopping D'Youville offense as they continued climb and hit their largest lead of the game with 55 seconds left jumping ahead by 32 points. Goldey-Beacom managed three more successful foul shots before time ran out and the Saints earned their first victory of the season winning 94-65.
