UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The D'Youville University women's wrestling team had a solid outing at the John Carroll University Duals, going 3-0 on the day.
 
The Saint (3-4) defeated Otterbein University 30-15, University of Rio Grande 26-13, and John Carroll University 28-9.
 
DYU had four wrestlers go 3-0 on the day in matches, led by Madison Wellen (East Berlin, Pa./Wyoming Secondary) who had three falls in the 138-pound weight class. Alexis Brua (New Castle, Pa./Laurel) also had a solid outing, going 3-0 with two wins coming by fall.
 
Alessandra Elliott (Staten Island, N.Y./Tottenville) and Saniyah Ward (The Colony, Texas/The Colony) also went 3-0 on the day.
 
The Saints will have a brief hiatus as they prepare for the Wasps Women's Open hosted by Emory & Henry University on December 13th. Action starts at 10 a.m.
