Box Score SPARKILL, NY – The D'Youville University women's tennis team was defeated by ECC rival St. Thomas Aquinas College on Friday by a score of 7-0.

At first doubles, the Saints' pairing of
Mina Randjelovic (Paracin, Serbia) and
Yuliia Kashtelian (Lviv, Ukraine) fell by a score of 6-1.
Maria Campisi (Caracas, Venezuela) and
Paola Ermina (San Sebastian, Spain) were defeated at second doubles by a score of 6-0, while
Yelizaveta Prokopenko and
Emiliia Soloviova (Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine) also lost 6-0 at third doubles, as STAC claimed the doubles point.

Randjelovic played a close first set, but fell in a tiebreaker 10-8, and ultimately lost the match 7-6, 6-1 at first singles. At second singles, Kashtelian was beaten 6-1, 6-0. Campisi played a competitive first set at third singles, but went on to lose 6-2, 6-0. At fourth singles, Ermina was defeated 6-0, 6-1. Prokopenko and Soloviova both lost by scores of 6-0, 6-0 at fifth and sixth singles, respectively, as the Spartans clinched the 7-0 victory over DYU.

The Saints will look to bounce back on Saturday, when they take on Queens College at 5:00 p.m.
