BUFFALO – The D'Youville University women's basketball team defeated Molloy University on Sunday by a score of 60-51.

Isabella Kostyal-Larrier (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) led the Saints in scoring with 16 points, shooting 4/5 from behind the arc.
Anna Jankovic (Averill Park, N.Y.) posted her third double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds and recording a season-high four steals.
Jaelyn Vleer-Elliott (Waterville, N.Y.) turned in a solid performance, scoring 12 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
Stella Mollica (Shillington, Pa.) recorded nine assists, tying her season-high.

DYU got off to a quick 7-2 lead thanks to layups from Jankovic and Vleer-Elliott and a three-pointer from Kostyal-Larrier. After the Lions took an 8-7 lead,
Sofie Fuglsang (Oberanven, Luxembourg) gave the lead back to the Saints by knocking down a three-pointer. Kostyal-Larrier's second three of the quarter gave DYU a 15-13 edge with just over a minute remaining in the first quarter.

After Molloy took a 19-17 lead in the first couple minutes of the second quarter, layups from Mollica and
Brianne Moxley (Penfield, N.Y.) put the Saints back in front 23-19. A pair of layups from Moxley and Jankovic stretched DYU's lead out to 29-24 with a minute until halftime.

Kostyal-Larrier opened up the second half with a three-pointer to put the Saints ahead by six. A 6-0 run from Molloy tied the game up at 34 before
Carla Torrubia Cano (Melilla, Spain) put in a layup to stop the run and give the lead back to D'Youville. On the Saints' next possession, Torrubia Cano converted a three-point play to make it 41-39 at the 6:16 mark. DYU closed the third quarter on an 8-3 run, giving them a 49-45 advantage heading into the final frame.

Kostyal-Larrier's fourth three-pointer of the game extended their lead to seven in the first minute of the fourth quarter. After a layup from Molloy at the 8:53 mark, the score was stuck on 52-47 until 2:29 remained in the quarter, when a layup from Kostyal-Larrier broke the scoring drought. The Saints would sink free throws to close out the game and secure the victory, redeeming their loss to the Lions earlier this season.

D'Youville improves to 5-3 in the ECC and will be back in action against the College of Staten Island on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
