BUFFALO – The D'Youville University women's basketball team completed their season sweep of Queens College on Friday night with a 78-52 blowout win.

Mercy Lasu (Innisfil, Canada) led the Saints in scoring with 13 points off the bench along with five rebounds.
Anna Jankovic (Averill Park, N.Y.) scored 11 points, grabbed a team-high six rebounds, and recorded three steals.
Stella Mollica (Shillington, Pa.) facilitated the offense with a team-high seven assists and tallied a team-high four steals.
Carla Torrubia Cano (Melilla, Spain) scored ten points off the bench on a perfect 5/5 shooting.
Sofie Fuglsang (Oberanven, Luxembourg) was on fire from three, making all three of her attempts from behind the arc.

Jaelyn Vleer-Elliott (Waterville, N.Y.) scored the first six points for the Saints to give them an early 6-3 lead. A layup from Torrubia Cano gave them a 12-5 advantage with 6:16 left in the first quarter. A three-point play from Mollica, a layup from
Morgan Giancaterino (Orchard Park, N.Y.), and a pair of layups from Lasu fueled an 11-1 run for DYU to cap off the first quarter with a 23-10 lead.

The Saints started the second quarter with an 11-2 run thanks to a three-pointer and layup from
Brianne Moxley (Penfield, N.Y.), two layups from Lasu, and a layup from Torrubia Cano, extending their lead to 34-12. Mollica put together a defensive highlight reel with steals on consecutive possessions. A three-pointer from Fuglsang followed by a seven-footer from Jankovic gave DYU a 28-point lead with less than a minute to go until halftime.

The Saints kept their foot on the gas in the third quarter, going on a 15-2 run to extend their lead to 63-27. On that run, Fuglsang knocked down a pair of three-pointers and Jankovic went to work in the paint, making four layups. Giancaterino converted a couple close-range jumpers to make it 67-35 with just over a minute to go in the third quarter.

As the game moved to the fourth quarter, the Saints continued to coast. Torrubia Cano sank a layup to keep DYU's lead at 29 with 2:16 left in regulation. A jumper from Lasu in the final seconds put the cherry on top of a commanding victory for the Saints.

D'Youville improves to 4-3 in the ECC and will be back in action against Molloy University on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
