BUFFALO, N.Y. – D'Youville University women's rowing head coach Woody Stark has announced their fall 2023 schedule, which includes four races.
The Saints will travel to Mercyhurst University on September 30th, followed by the Head of the Genesee on October 7th. DYU will have a home race on October 15th when they host the Head of the Niagara. The Saints will close out the fall schedule with the Head of the Schuylkill on October 27th and 28th.
New Era
The Saints will be led by first year head coach Woody Stark for the 2023-24 season. Stark comes to D'Youville with extensive experience within the rowing community. Prior to D'Youville, Stark was the varsity men's coach and Director of Fleet Maintenance at Lake Oswego Community Rowing.
Stark also brings in a wealth of knowledge to the rowing program, having coached at Oregon State and Washinton State.
Returning for the Saints
The Saints return six rowers from a season ago including four seniors. The returning rowers include seniors
Eliora Brown (Westfield, N.Y.),
Julia Cecil (Westminster, Md.),
Riley Nyhlen (Getzville, N.Y.), and
Kayleigh Oneill (Buffalo, N.Y.). The Saints also return sophomores
Madelynn Racaniello (Fairport, N.Y.) and
Riley Wentlent (Cheektowaga, N.Y.).
