BUFFALO, N.Y. – Going into their final competition of the fall 2023 portion of the season, the D'Youville University women's rowing team will be heading to the Hed of the Schuylkill in Schuylkill Haven, Pa. on Saturday.
Last Time Out
The Saints had a strong showing the last time they hit the water, coming away with a pair of first place finishes in the Head of the Niagara. In the Women's 4x, the team of
Kyleigh Oneill (Buffalo, N.Y.),
Eliora Brown (Westfield, N.Y.),
Julia Cecil (Westminster, Md.), and
Madelynn Racaniello (Fairport, N.Y.) placed first in the event. The team posted a time of 13:05.88. The Saints also competed in the women's pair with the team of
Riley Nyhlen (Getzville, N.Y.) and Cecil placing first, posting a time of 13:58.14.
About the Head of the Schuylkill
Founded in 1970, the Head of the Schuykill is deemed by many as "America's Favorite Regatta" where more than 8,000 athletes compete on the 2.5 mile course. This regatta is known across the country as well as internationally with rower coming from New Hampshire to Floridia, California, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
