ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Entering their first conference match of the season, the D'Youville University men's soccer team fell to Roberts Wesleyan University by a score of 8-0 Wednesday evening.
The Saints (0-4, 0-1 ECC) fell behind the Redhawks by a score of 2-0 in the first half before
Rehn Pielechowski (Holland, N.Y.) got a shot off in the 29th minute but just went high. Seconds later, DYU had another opportunity with a corner kick where Pielechowski had another look but went high again.
Looking to put together a scoring play, DYU had an opportunity with
Ismael Sidali getting a shot off in the 59th minute but just went above the crossbar. The Saints had another look off the corner kick from
Ben Calkins (East Grinstead, England) but went wide.
Jake Marks (London, England) went the distance in net, making two saves.
