HACKENSACK, NJ – The D'Youville University men's volleyball team closed out their 2022-23 season on Saturday evening, falling to Fairleigh Dickinson University in straight sets, 16-25, 24-26, 18-25.

First Set:

• Tymek Brzoza's kill pulled DYU within three, 13-10
• FDU took 7-of-10 to double advantage to six, 20-14
• An FDU error would halt its' momentum briefly as they won 5-of-6 to close the set 25-16

Second Set:

• Randy Adorno set up Kacper Taudul to knot set at 11-11
• FDU held slim 18-15 lead, but four straight errors put DYU ahead 19-18
• Another Taudul kill gave DYU a 23-22 edge put FDU won the next two points
• Another FDU error helped DYU stave off set point before FDU rebounded with consecutive kills to take set two, 26-24

Third Set:

• Brzoza's kill helped DYU rush out to an 8-3 lead
• FDU answered with a 10-1 run to go up 13-9
• FDU extended the difference to seven, 19-12, but 5-of-6 from DYU trimmed the margin back to three at 20-17
• That's as close as the Saints got as FDU closed with 5-of-6 to win the third set, 25-18
