Box Score 2 Spartanburg, S.C.- The D'Youville University softball team continued play against Virginia-Wise ending in the Cavaliers on top, 5-0, game two of the doubleheader was a thriller that the Saints ended up being bested by the Valkyries of Converse University, 11-10 from Tyger River Stadium.
GAME 1
- Scoring started to commence in the third inning the Cavaliers singled to center field sending a runner in to score, 1-0.
- A stolen base within the same inning occurred that increased the Cavalier's lead to, 2-0.
- An error by the Saints gave UVA their chance to maintain the lead with them securing another run, 3-0.
- The scoring onslaught did not stop as UVA gathered two more runs before taking in their win on the afternoon, 5-0.

GAME 2
- The Saints jumped out to an early start putting up four runs in the first inning.
- In the midst of the second inning Jamie Bower recorded an RBI that helped get Gianna Adamo in for a run, 5-0.
- Things started to pick up for the Valkyries who gathered a pair of RBIs of their own that brought in two runs, 5-2.
- The RBIs continued to pile up resulting in two more CC runs, 5-4.
- Emily Przybysz got the Saints back on track hitting a single sending Ally Beardi in for the score, 6-4, Przybysz steals a base shortly after off an error that resulted in an unearned run, 7-4.
- Fifth inning ended with the Valkyries gaining the lead compiling four runs, 8-7.
- Laura Beck took a chance advancing to second off a passed ball that assisted Jenna Reynolds in her pursuit to score tying the game in the seventh, 8-8.
- Saints found a way to take the lead after Hannah Bardeen connected on a hit that Przybysz capitalizes on to score, 9-8.
- CC's stolen base right after that led to a run produced getting this all tied up, 9-9 to close out the eighth inning.
- Beck's RBI sent the ball to center field advancing Olivia Goderis for the Saint's run, 10-9.
- The final at-bat for the Valkyries resulted in two runs that lead to CC capitalizing on to close out the game for their win, 11-10.
