Box Score FAIRFIELD, CT - The D'Youville University men's volleyball team headed to Connecticut for its' first NEC road trip of the season and was unable to gain any momentum, losing in straight sets, 17-25, 16-25, 19-25, on Friday night.
First Set
- Randy Adorno set up Kacper Taudul to trim the deficit to three,10-7
- SHU extended the margin to seven at 21-14
- An Ian De Wilde service ace stopped the bleeding at 21-16 but SHU prevailed 25-17
Second Set
- Taudul again cut the margin to three at 11-8
- SHU responded with four straight points to open up a 15-8 advantage
- A pair of attack errors got DYU within six, 22-16, but SHU closed out the set with three consecutive points, 25-16
Third Set
- Jacob Malak kill knots set at 9-9
- SHU opened up a 20-15 lead before Tymek Brozoza pulled DYU within three at 21-18
- The teams traded points before SHU capped off the set with back-to-back kills
