Box Score BUFFALO, NY - The D'Youville University men's volleyball team hosted fellow Buffalo rival in the Daemen University Wildcats on Friday night in both teams first-ever Northeast Conference match with the Wildcats prevailing in straight sets.
First Set
- DAE took a 14-9 lead, forcing a DYU timeout
- Ian De Wilde setup Jacob Malak to cut the deficit to three, 14-11
- That's as close as DYU would get as DAE took the next three points on its way to a 25-18 set win.
Second Set
- Haven Wankerl kill trims margin to one, DAE 11-10
- Another Wankerl finish knots the match at 19-19
- Unfortunately for the Saints, four straight Wildcats' kills allowed them to take a 2-0 advantage (25-21)
Third Set
- DAE rushes out to 13-6 lead
- Wildcats extend margin to double digits at 20-9
- A Malak block made it 23-12 DAE before the Wildcats closed out the set 25-14
