BUFFALO, N.Y. – Closing out their 2023 portion of the season, the D'Youville University women's wrestling team will head west to Ohio to participate in the John Carroll University Tri-Meet this Sunday.

The Saints put forth a valiant effort this past Sunday when taking on No. T-13 Gannon University, falling by a narrow margin of six points with the final score being 25-19.
In their four wins, D'Youville got three falls with
Emily Sindoni (Nichols, N.Y.),
Saniyah Ward (The Colony, Texas), and
Alessandra Elliott (Staten, Island, N.Y.) leading the way. Elliott's fall came over the fourth-ranked wrestling in the 155-pound weight class in Lili Ujfalvi.
Madison Wellen (East Berlin, Pa.) got the Saints' other win on the day, getting a 14-3 tech. fall victory.
About the Terriers
- Hiram will bring a 3-0 dual into Sunday against the Saints.
- All-time leader in career wins leader Kylee Bentley is competing in her third season, surpassing 20 wins in her career.
- This will be the first time the teams will be competing against one another.
About the Bluestreaks
- John Carroll will bring in a 2-2 dual record into Sunday against the Saints.
- The Bluestreaks are also a first-year program that debuted earlier this season.
- This will be the first meeting between the teams.
