Box Score Staten Island, N.Y.- The D'Youville University men's basketball team dropped another conference matchup over the weekend as they competed against the College of Staten Island, 92-70 from the Sports and Recreation Center.
STAT OF THE GAME
FIRST HALF
- It was a close affair in the opening minutes as a Kondrat deep ball tied the game at 8-8 four minutes in.
- At 13:07 the Saints went on a 9-0 run, capped by a Nelson St. Louis three, to open up a 20-11 lead.
- The Dolphins finally retied the game, 33-33 with a free throw, before taking a slim 42-40 advantage at the break.
SECOND HALF
- At the start of the half, the Dolphins went on a 7-0 run until Kondrat's layup halted the momentum at CSI 49-42.
- The Dolphins stretched the margin to double digits halfway through the stanza, 64-53.
- A Bryson Birdsong three-point play helped cut a 15-point DYU deficit to 10, 77-67, with five minutes remaining but that's as close as the Saints would get down the stretch.
