Box Score BUFFALO, NY - The D'Youville University men's volleyball team won the first two sets in close fashion, (25-23, 25-22), but dropped the third before cruising to a 25-19 fourth set win to defeat the Central State University Marauders on Friday night inside the College Center Gym.
First Set
- DYU leads 15-13 at the media timeout after Kacper Taudul kill
- CSU knots set at 22-22 with an ace but gives it right back with a service error
- Randy Adorno finds Taudul twice to close out the first set 25-23
Second Set
- Tymek Brzoza kill forces CSU timeout trailing 10-8
- Teams trade points before Brozoza gives DYU a slim 24-22 advantage with back-to-back kills
- CSU attack error ends set in DYU favor 25-22
Third Set
- DYU trailed 17-13 at the media timeout
- Ian De Wilde kill cuts the deficit to two, 23-21, as CSU calls a timeout
- Taudul makes it a one-point set, 24-23, but CSU holds on to force fourth
Fourth Set
- Consecutive CSU attack errors give DYU a narrow 15-14 lead at the media timeout
- Adorno records a pair of kills out of the timeout to push the differential to three, 17-14
- Another Marauders' error gives Saints their largest lead of the set, 22-16, before Taudul clinches the match
