Box Score BUFFALO, N.Y.- The D'Youville University men's basketball team went up against the Tigers of Salem University in a hard fought game ending with the Saints falling, 68-64.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
FIRST HALF
- At 14:34 the Saints tied the game off a made three-pointer from Fontes Jules, 10-10.
- Defensively the Saints' efforts kept the Tigers to only six points in the last five minutes of the half.
- The Saints were down by as much as 12 points but narrowed the gap by one point, 35-34.
SECOND HALF
- Saints take their first lead of the game from a layup by Willie Kondrat, 36-35.
- DYU led for over six minutes of the half until at 12:54 the Tigers made a free throw to put themselves up by one point, 44-43.
- With 15 seconds left Nelson St. Louis brought the deficit to just three points off his made three-pointer, 67-64.
- To cap things off the Saints had to foul the Tigers which resulted in them making one of two free throws, 68-64.
