BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Saints are on the road for another ECC conference matchup against the Mavericks of Mercy College from Mercy Field on Saturday September 17 at noon.
SCOUNTING MERCY
Mercy College is currently 4-1-1 on the season thus far having acquired one win in the East Coast Conference. Nicholas Cerda, Daniel Rodgriguez, and Benjamin Van Buren are the Mavericks leading goal scorers accounting for two goals each. Daniel Rodriguez and Mathias Schilbred-Erikson are both the front runners as of now in the Mavericks assist department totaling up three on the year.
OPENING XI
I. Felipe Santos when the Saints competed with Malone scored two goals for the team.
II. Arthur Da Silva recorded his first assist of the season in their previous match setting up Felipe Santos.
III.Ethan Picard ended his day with a career high in saves having 13 recorded when facing Felician.
IV. Goalkeeper Josh Marer made debut for the Saints at Lock Haven recording four minutes.
V. Francisco Osorio and Arthur Da Silva were the only two Saints on the day to get a shot off versus Lock Haven.
VI. In the Saints last outing Arthur Da Silva creates shot opportunity for fellow teammate Avery Grondin that turns into a goal, his first of the season against Pitt-Johnstown.
VII. Within the 56th minute of play Felipe Santos added on another Saints goal making the score, 2-0.
VIII. To top it all off on the day freshmen Felipe Pugas scores his first collegiate goal on the year with the final score of the game ending in victory for the Saints, 3-0.
IX. The Saints competed in a hard-fought matchup against Queens College with the Saints Unfortunately falling in this matchup, 1-0.
X. In their match with Queens College Felipe Santos and Arthur Da Silva were the only shot takers on the day.
XI. So far on the year Ethan Picard has made 30 saves during this season.
