The D'Youville baseball team is set to make up the final game of its East Coast Conference series at Lincoln on Tuesday afternoon. Originally scheduled for March 28, the mid-week contest will begin at 2 p.m.
Last Time Out – The Saints were swept in a weekend series at Queens, as the Knights earned a pair of wins on Friday, 10-1 and 6-2, before picking up an 8-0 shutout on Saturday. Junior Shane Critelli was a bright spot on Friday, racking up a two-hit game in the nightcap.
D'Youville by the Numbers – Sophomore Jeremy Glinski leads the team with a .361 batting average, and has swiped a league-high 10 stolen bases. Fellow sophomore Mateo Santos has paced the team with 6 RBI, also adding on two steals this season. For the Saints' pitching staff, senior left-hander Adam Lampman has tallied 26 strikeouts, sitting tied for third in the ECC.
Lincoln at a Glance – The Lions have not played since March 27 against D'Youville, as their past two series, at St. Thomas Aquinas and Molloy, were postponed due to COVID-19 pauses with those programs. Elias Beltre holds a team-high .381 batting average, while Rolando Alvarez paces the Lions with a 3.37 ERA and 20 strikeouts.
Series History – The all-time series sits at 2-0 in favor of the Lions, who defeated the Saints in both ends of a doubleheader on March 27.
