WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The D'Youville women's tennis team returned to East Coast Conference action Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to Queens (N.Y.) The setback sees the Saints fall to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play this season.
Saturday's match featured a clinch, where the first four results decided the match. The four decided results saw freshman Camilla Duteil (2-6, 2-6) and freshman Taylor Nash (0-6, 0-6) fall in singles play as the Saints defaulted on the sixth singles match.
The doubles point went to the Knights as the pair of junior Alisson Meissner and sophomore Taylor-Anne Austin lost 6-0. The Saints also defaulted on the #3 doubles match.
The Saints will get a chance to rebound on Sunday, October 10 when they host St. Thomas Aquinas. First serve from the Village Glen Tennis Center is set for 12:30 p.m.
