WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - The D'Youville women's tennis team wrapped up their fall season Tuesday evening, falling in East Coast Conference play, 7-0, at Daemen. The loss leaves the Saints with a 3-6 overall record and an 0-5 mark in conference play.
Freshman Yuliia Kashtelian put up the best fight for the Saints in her singles match, falling narrowly in two sets, 7-5, 6-4. Kashtelian dropped to 3-6 in singles play this season. In her doubles match, Kashtelian teamed up with freshman Taylor Nash but the pair lost 6-1. Tuesday was the third time Kastelian and Nash were paired together as the duo fell to 1-2.
The other completed singles results featured Nash falling 6-0, 6-0, freshman Katelyn Hoover dropping her match 6-0, 6-1, and junior Alisson Meissner also losing 6-0, 6-1. The remaining pairs of Hoover/Meissner (6-0) and Leyah Campolo/Taylor-Anne Austin (6-2) each lost their doubles matchups. Nash falls to 2-7 in singles play, Hoover drops to 2-5, and Meissner slips to 3-4. Tuesday was the first time this season the pairs of Hoover and Meissner as well as Campolo and Austin teamed up for the Saints in doubles play.
