Fredonia, NY - The D'Youville women's tennis team played the Fredonia Blue Devils on Wednesday evening, falling by the score of 8-1.

In the number one singles position, Lauren Karoglan (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) picked up the lone point for the Spartans. She defeated her opponent 6-3, 7-6 as she avenged a loss earlier this season.

Julia Clapper (Cleveland, OH/Highland) and Faith Falkowski (Batavia, NY/Notre Dame) played a strong doubles match. Lilly Nguyen (Rochester, NY/Penfield) had a good performance in her singles match as well.

The next match for the women will next play this Sunday, September 29 as they host Franciscan at 9:30am at Southtowns Tennis Center.
