Williamsville, NY – The D'Youville women's tennis team lost their second match of the season to the Fredonia Blue Devils on Saturday afternoon by the score of 9-0.

Dena Iadanza (Vestal, NY/Vestal) and Krista Cornell (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) were paired together for the second straight match as the two fell in their doubles match 8-3. Cornell played well in her first singles match, as Iadanza did in her second singles match.

Bryannia Sutton (Mexion, NY/Mexico) was paired with Ashley White (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) in the third doubles pairing on Saturday. White saw her first action as part of the women's tennis team, also playing well in her singles match.

The pairing of Vaughnna Bauer (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) and Morgan Finn (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) played in the second doubles slot and also as the fourth and fifth singles players. Each had a strong effort.

D'Youville will play their final home match of the season tomorrow, October 1 as they host Franciscan. Match time is set for 10:00am.
