Pittsburgh, PA – The D'Youville women's tennis team suffered their second loss of the weekend on Sunday morning, falling to the La Roche Redhawks by the final of 8-1.
Morgan Finn (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) won her second singles match of the season, defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-0. Finn's win was the lone point for the Spartans in the match.
Each doubles pairing played competitive matches for the women. Krista Cornell (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) and Dena Iadanza (Vestal, NY/Vestal) narrowly lost as the top doubles pairing, with Nikki Breton (Alexander, NY/Alexander) and Bryianna Sutton (Mexico, NY/Mexico) also playing a close match.
Vaughnna Bauer (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) was Finn's doubles partner, playing well there and in her singles match.
The next match for the women comes on Saturday, September 30 as they host Fredonia at 12:00pm.
