Williamsville, NY - The D'Youville women's tennis team lost their final home match of the season on Sunday morning to the Franciscan Barons by the final score of 9-0.

The doubles pairings for the Spartans were Gillian Wittig (Depew, NY/Depew) with Krista Cornell (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) as the first pairing, Dena Iadanza (Vestal, NY/Vestal) with Bryannia Sutton (Mexico, NY/Mexico) as the second pairing, and Vaughnna Bauer (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore West) and Morgan Finn (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) as the third pairing. Each duo fought hard in their singles match against the undefeated Barons.

In her singles match, Ashley White (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) had one of the most competitive singles matches. Finn also played well in her singles match.

The final match of the season for the women will come on Friday, October 6 as they travel to Pitt.-Bradford to take on the Panthers.
