Pittsburgh, PA – The D'Youville women's tennis team player their third match of the weekend on Sunday afternoon, falling to the La Roche Redhawks by the final score of 8-1.
Kirsta Cornell (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) won her second singles match of the season, defeating her opponent from La Roche by the final score of 7-6, 6-1. Courtney Fox (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter School) played well in the first singles slot. Cornell and Fox were paired together as the tops doubles and nearly pulled out a win over the Redhawks top pairing.
Hasti Dave (Etobicoke, ONT/North Albion Collegiate Institute) and Kayla McMahon (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) both played well for the Spartans.
D'Youville will complete their four game road trip on Monday as they travel to Houghton.
