Steubenville, OH – The D'Youville women's tennis team started off their weekend road-trip with a loss on Friday afternoon to the Franciscan Barons by the final score of 9-0.

Sophomore Krista Cornell (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) played well in the second singles slot and was also paired with Courtney Fox (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter School) in the top doubles duo.

Hasti Dave (Etobicoke, ONT/North Albion Collegiate Institute) and Natalie Douie (Harare, Zimbabwe/Chisipite Senior School) also played well for the Spartans in their singles matches.

The women will play against Pitt.-Greensburg tomorrow for day two of their four-day road trip, playing against the Bobcats at 5:30pm.
