Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

Cresson, PA – The D'Youville Softball Team took on Mount Aloysius Saturday afternoon for the AMCC's Game of the Week and swept the host Mounties by the scores of 3-1 in game one and 5-3 in game two.

It wasn't until the fourth inning that the first run was put on the board. First baseman Lauren DeVantier (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) led off the inning with a walk. The second baseman, Alison Hall (Cheektowaga, NY/Depew) was then walked in the next at-bat, followed by a walk to MacKenzie Kehlenbeck (Oakfield, NY/Oakfield-Alabama) to load the bases. A fourth walk of the inning was given up by the Mount Aloysius pitcher as Ashley Colan (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) made her way to first, forcing in DeVantier from third and giving D'Youville the 1-0 lead.

The sixth inning would provide another run for the Spartan offense. Hannah Turek (Depew, NY/Lancaster) reached first on an error by the center fielder, and then advanced to second. Two batters later, Kehlenbeck doubled to bring home Turek and make the score 2-0.

Mount Aloysius scored a run in the bottom the sixth to cut D'Youville's lead in half. Leading off the next inning, pitcher Kalie McHenry (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) tripled. Lydia Monin (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter School) followed up McHenry's triple with a single, bringing home Kalie from third.

The Mounties would fail to score a run in the bottom of the seventh and lose the game to the Spartans by the final of 3-1. Kalie McHenry picked up her 12th win of the season after pitching a complete game. The reigning AMCC Pitcher of the Week went 7 innings allowing 2 earned run and struck out 11.
