Fredonia, NY - The D'Youville women's tennis team suffered their second loss of the season to the Fredonia State Blue Devils on Thursday afternoon by the final score of 7-2.

Gillian Wittig (Depew, NY/Depew) won her second straight match and third of the season as the team's number one singles player. She defeated her opponent by the final of 6-3, 3-6, 10-8. 

In the third doubles pairing, Michaela McMahon (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) and Isabella Madamba (Bitburg, Germany/Bitburg American) were victorious in their third-doubles matchup, winning 9-8, 12-10.

The women will play again next on Friday, October 2nd against Penn State-Behrend.
