September 12th, 2014 – As the Penn State-Behrend Invitational's first game has come and gone; the D'Youville Women's Volleyball Team lost its first game against the host team 3-0.

D'Youville lost their sets 25-11, 25-19 and 26-16. As a team, D'Youville gathered 21 kills on 21 assists to go along with 3 service aces and 32 digs.

Leading the way for the Spartans in kills was a pair of Megan's. Megan McCarthy (Eden, NY/Eden HS) and Megan Schneider (Lockport, NY/Lockport HS) led the team with 6. Leading the way for the Spartans in assists was Natalie Rieman (West Seneca, NY/Immaculata Academy) with 6. Three players were tied with 5 digs.

The next game for the D'Youville Women's Volleyball Team is against Morrisville State during day two of the Penn State-Behrend Invitational. The game begins at 11:00am.
