Olean, NY & Johnstown, PA-The D'Youville College softball and baseball teams played their first AMCC doubleheader of the season against Mount Aloysius and it wasn't a good start to the conference schedule for either squad.

For Ona Halladay, the D'Youville softball Head coach, it was a return to place where her collegiate coaching career began. The Spartans played their 'home' games today at St. Bonaventure University in Olean, New York. Halladay was the Assistant coach with St. Bonaventure from 2010-2013.

In game one, Ashley Colan (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) broke up a no-hit bid with two outs in the last of the seventh in the Spartans' 3-0 loss.

D'Youville pitcher Kalie McHenry (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) tossed her sixth complete game of the season.

in game two, Mount Aloysius raced out to a 7-0 lead after the first inning and needed only five innings to put away the Spartans 8-0.

Baseball played in Johnstown, Pennsylvania against Mount Aloysius and the Spartans were defeated in game one 8-0 and dropped the nightcap 10-1.
