West Seneca, NY-Penn State Behrend came to the Spartans' home diamond and the visiting Lions took both games of the today's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference doubleheader.

D'Youville batters faced the Lions' top pitcher and was held to seven hits and struck out nine times in a 12-0 loss.

Alex Johnson (Lancaster, NY/Clarence) went 2-3 at the plate for the Spartans.

Game two saw Behrend score six runs in the top of the first and cruise to a 14-1 win. Eric Simoncelli (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) had a pair of hits and an RBI. 

Jeff Spors (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) opened the day with single to left field in his first at-bat of game one and churned out an an infield single in his final at-bat of game two to extend his hitting streak to 10-straight games.

D'Youville hosts AMCC foe Pitt-Greensburg tomorrow (April 19) at Veterans Memorial Park (formerly Centennial) in West Seneca, NY. Doubleheader start time is 1:00 p.m.
