D'Youville opened the twin-bill with an 18-3 win. The Spartans pounded out 17 hits and closed the game with a 7-run seventh inning.
Shannon Sutton (Lykens, PA/Upper Dauphin) started what would be a career day. The Spartans third baseman went 4-5 with a double, a home run, and 3 RBI in game one.
Courtney Clarke (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) also smacked a double, a homer, and drove in three runs. Lauren DeVantier (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) also homered.
Pitcher Kalie McHenry (Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) picked up the win with a complete game effort and 11 strikeouts.
The Spartans needed only 5 innings to completed the sweep with a 16-0 win in game two.
Sutton doubled and hit another homer, finishing the day going 6-7 at the plate with 2 doubles, 2 homers, and 7 RBI.
Alison Hall (Depew, NY/Depew) hit her first career home run, DeVantier hit her second long ball of the day, and MacKenzie Kehlenbeck (Oakfield, NY/Oakfield-Alabama) went 2-2, both hits being doubles.
Pitcher Ashley Covel (Basom, NY/Oakfield-Alabama) yielded just 3 hits and struck out 3 for her first career win.
D'Youville improves to 5-1 in AMCC play, 8-8 overall.
