Buffalo, NY-In the first game of the Saturday's doubleheader, the La Roche men's team defeated D'Youville 7-0. The game was a relatively close affair through the first 70 minutes. The visiting Redhawks took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break and the game's final goals came in the final twenty minutes.

Joseph Cordier (Delevan, NY/Pioneer) and Jeff Turner (Lackawanna, NY/Lackawanna) recorded shots on goal. Spartan's goalkeeper Matt Smith (Bergen, NY/Byron-Bergen) made 12 saves, many of them spectacular.

D'Youville hosts Medaille on October 16 at the Riverside Athletic Complex. Kickoff is under the lights at 7:00 p.m.
