Alfred, NY-It was three and out for the D'Youville women's volleyball team at Alfred State College. Set scores were 25-19, 25-15, and 25-20.

Savannah Brayton (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) led the Spartans with 9 kills. Alyssa Dueringer (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) totaled a team-high 11 digs. Molly Minkiewicz (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) had a team-high 3 service aces and Natalie Rieman (West Seneca, NY/Immaculata Academy) dished 10 assists.

D'Youville started slow but rallied to tie the first set at 17 all before a run of hitting errors ended the rally. The Spartans jumped out to an early 8-2 lead in the third but couldn't close that set their way.

D'Youville (8-12) returns to AMCC play with a home match versus Penn State Behrend October 16. First serve in the College Center Gym is at 7:00 p.m.
