Buffalo, NY-Playing in their final home match, three D'Youville seniors came up huge in the Spartan's 2-1 win over Mount Aloysius.

Mate Tarr (Forro, Hungary/Um es Kolegium) put the Spartans up 1-0 in the 51st minute, assisted by senior Josh Pfuntner (Wayland, NY/Wayland-Cohocton).  Neil Janes (Lee Center, NY/Rome Free Academy) made it 2-0 in the 74th minute on a feed from Pfuntner.

The visitors made it interesting with a goal in the 78th minute. 

Freshman Brett Matthews (Angola, NY/Lake Shore) turned back eight shots for his first career win.

Prior to the match seniors Pfuntner, Janes, Tarr along with Jordan Wabick and Edward Appah were honored before the match.

D'Youville will close the season October 24 at Alfred University.  Start time will be 7:00 p.m.
